St. Michael’s Academy for Healthcare is a WSIB approved first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support academy in Toronto Scarborough North York Hamilton Mississauga and Brampton. Our first aid and CPR courses are approved by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board as authorized providers of Code 8 EMS! We have 6 locations to service your first aid needs:

We employ certified WSIB approved first aid and CPR instructors that deliver interactive, high quality, intense, and fun first aid, CPR, AED, and BLS (healthcare provider) training courses in the Toronto, Vaughan, North York, and Mississauga Brampton regions. All of our courses include mandatory AED (automated external defibrillator) training.

CPR Level C is the basic CPR class for the general public. Please note that this often does not meet employment requirements. Participants are responsible for ensuring they select the correct course for their employment and education needs.

Emergency first aid and CPR level C is a popular first aid class which comprises of 8 core modules of first aid and CPR. This course is generally taken by security guards and taxi drivers, or any workplace with 1-5 employees.

Standard first aid and CPR level C is the highest level of first aid and CPR for the general public, accepted by 100% of all workplaces that are not related to the healthcare industry, and is required by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act if your company has more than 5 employees.

Basic Life Support (healthcare provider) is an advanced first responder course generally reserved for healthcare providers, such as nurses, Police, Fire, EMS, and personal support workers. This course is not recommended unless your job or school requires this specific type of advanced CPR.
